The apartment is on the ground floor and its size is 850 square feet (79 square meters). As you enter the apartment, you step on a tiled area followed by the hallway with the original hardwood flooring, which continues throughout the entire house with the exception of the kitchen. You also notice the high ceilings, also a feature in every room of the house. | |||||

First to your left is the front bedroom (12'7" by 10'7" / 3.8m by 3.2m). The french doors have roman blinds for privacy, and let in a lot of light into the hallway during the day. Upon entering you notice the large crown mouldings. The custom designed queen bed comes with full set of pillows, sheets, blankets, and comforter. The rest of the furniture which includes the side-tables, chair, wardrobe, and artwork are custom made as well. | |||||

The second door to your left is the bathroom (10'7" by 6'11" / 3.2m by 2.1m) with a pedestal sink and an extra-long cast-iron clawfoot tub with massage shower head. The high ceiling features large crown mouldings and an ornate medallion. The laundry area includes programmable Samsung front-load washer and on-top dryer. Towels as well as a hair-dryer are also provided. | |||||

Across from the bathroom is a mini office-closet area with a folding desk and chair as well as storage space with shelf and hanging rod. Although the apartment comes with wireless high-speed internet connection, there is ethernet jacks if you prefer wired connection. The cordless telephone with answering machine, iron, ironing table, and cleaning equipment are stored here as well. | |||||

Next you enter the living/dining room area (16'5" by 10'1" / 5m by 3.1m) with its exposed brick wall and custom designed furniture. There are two lighting options here: There are dimmable halogen lights on the ceiling (pic 2), and fluorescent lights all around the room concealed behind the top mouldings (pic 10). The spotlights hanging above the table are halogens on a dimmer as well (pic 11). The electronics include a 27' flat-screen Toshiba television and a Philips multimedia player. The ottoman can be used as coffee table or additional seating. | |||||

The door at the left of the couch opens to the back bedroom (13' by 8'11" / 3.8m by 2.7m). Here you have the choice between two twin beds or a king (pic 7) which come with full sets of pillows, sheets, blankets, and comforters. This room also features a built-in closet and a chest of drawers, as well as two custom made cube ottomans. | |||||

Back to the living room, and finally to the kitchen: There is first an area (5'10" by 4'10" / 1.8m by 1.4m) with a door leading out to the courtyard (pic 6, 12), then the kitchen (11' by 10'10" / 3.4m by 3.3m) with laminate flooring. The kitchen is equipped with heated floors. Large appliances include stainless steel fridge, glasstop stove with exterior venting hood, and dishwasher. Earlier check-in may be possible if there is no previous customer but must be arranged prior to your arrival. This is a non smoking apartment. Smokers are welcome to smoke outside in the courtyard. Pets are not permitted in the apartment. To reserve the apartment: - please email us at or call us at 514-445-5791. If you do not hear from us within 24 hours, please try us again in case of technical problems. - once availability is confirmed, we will email you the guest rental agreement. - when we receive the signed guest rental agreement, as well as the advance payment (reservation deposit), which is 30% of the total rental payment, the apartment will be secured for your stay. The advance payment is not a security deposit. The advance payment can be made in the form of credit card via PayPal. - the balance of the rent as well as a security deposit of CAD$300 are due prior to or upon check-in and may be paid in cash, traveler’s checks, or credit card via PayPal. The security deposit will be returned to you after check-out and completion of inventory and assessment of the property. Cancellations: - if you'd like to cancel your reservation, you must do so in writing, by fax, email or letter. - cancellations that are made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date will incur an administrative fee of 5% of the total rental payment. The balance of the advanced payment will be returned. - cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date will receive no refund unless the apartment is re-rented to someone else, at the same rate, for the same period. If the apartment is re-rented, an administrative fee of 5% of the total rental payment will be withheld from your advanced payment. The balance will be returned to you after full payment from the new renter is received. Changing date of stay is on availability basis only, any differences in rate shall be at guest’s expense. Custom furniture includes seven foot sofa, large bench ottoman which can be used as coffee table or additional seating, tv table and shelves, and dining room table with four chairs that can easily accomodate six people with use of ottoman. 27" flat screen Toshiba TV connects to Philips DVD player. Player works with DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD, CD-R, CD-RW media and supports mp3, mp4, mpg, DivX, wma, jpg, jpeg/iso, avi formats. TV comes with basic cable service. Lighting options include main halogen lights with dimmer, dining halogen lights with dimmer, and recessed ceiling cove fluorescent lights. Ethernet jack for hard wire high-speed internet access. Mini-office/closet Mini-office has fold-up desk for use when needed with folding chair, magnet board and light, but still has plenty of storage space with room for bulky items such as suitcases and a shelf with rod and hangers for additional clothing storage.
